A former Justice of the Peace with over 15 years experience, John presided over Case Management courts throughout Southern Ontario.

As a Regional Senior Justice of the Peace for 6 years, he worked to transform what was often a routine adjournment exercise into effective case management. Counsel and their agents now need to be prepared and efficient in their Case Management court appearances.

Justices increasingly take their role as case managers seriously and routinely go behind reasons for adjournment and delay. John knows what is expected of agents for counsel in our busy courts.

Throughout his judicial career John took a particular interest in court and judicial policy. In addition to his paralegal role, he is also available to consult on a variety of court and judicial issues.

Important note on remote notarization of documents

While allowed by an amendment to the Notaries Act, they are not yet permitted by Regulation. People should avoid services that offer remote notarizations until such time as Regulations describing how they should be done are released.
